A Very Unfortunate River Cruise

History is full of grand moments, but sometimes it’s the messy ones that stick in our memory! On August 8, 2004, the Dave Matthews Band tour bus was driving across the Kinzie Street Bridge in Chicago. In a bizarre and rather smelly turn of events, the bus driver decided to empty the vehicle's septic tank right as a sightseeing boat was passing underneath. Approximately 800 pounds of human waste rained down on the unsuspecting tourists below. While it certainly wasn't the highlight of their river cruise, it remains one of the most uniquely bizarre and 'unforgettable' historical footnotes to occur on this date!
